Moisture associated with a stalled and weakening front near Maui county will keep most windward skies cloudy into early next week, with showers most active over windward portions of Maui county. These clouds and showers are expected to gradually diminish later in the week. Also, moderate to locally breezy northeast trade winds will prevail for several days before easing after mid-week. On most of the Big Island, limited moisture embedded in a lighter easterly trade wind flow will bring fewer windward showers, with the Hamakua coast the most likely recipient of rainfall associated with the front.
