A weak cold front will push across the central islands this morning and across the Big Island this afternoon, then stall just southeast of the Big Island tonight. Strong high pressure building to the northwest of the state behind the front will bring cool and gusty northerly winds over the islands today through Thursday. Breezy trade wind weather is expected from Friday through the weekend. A developing low pressure trough west of the state will veer winds around to the southeast and south early next week, with an increasing chance of showers. Updated: 03/16/2016 3:51 am HST
