High pressure building north of the state will strengthen the trade wind flow over the weekend, with clouds and showers focusing primarily across windward and mauka areas. The trades will diminish Monday as a cold front begins to approach from the northwest. The front and an accompanying band of clouds and showers will move southeastward down the island chain Tuesday and Tuesday night. High pressure will then build north of the state during the middle to latter portion of next week, bringing a return of breezy northeasterly trades. Updated: 04/01/2016 10:11 am HST
