A moist and unstable air mass will maintain the Risk of heavy showers and thunderstorms through today across the western half of the island chain. Trade winds will gradually spread west from the Big Island to Kauai through Sunday night with the main focus of the showers returning to the windward and mountain areas. Unsettled weather may return for next weekend.
