A weak trough is producing a band of showery clouds, moving across the central portions of the island chain, keeping winds generally light during the next couple of days. Sea breezes will bring afternoon showers, mainly over leeward and interior locations. Some of the showers may produce locally heavy rainfall each afternoon and early evening. A few thunderstorms are possible for the Big Island and parts of Maui county this afternoon. Trade wind weather will return by mid week as the trough dissipates. Updated: 10/11/2015 4:00 am HST
