A high far north of the area will maintain locally breezy trade winds through tomorrow night. A cloud area moving along in the trades will keep the smaller islands rather wet today. Another cloud area will hit the Big Island tonight. The trade winds will weaken starting Wednesday night and rainfall will decrease as the atmosphere dries out. Hurricane Olaf is forecast to pass well east of the islands over the weekend. Olaf is expected to bring large surf to the islands and turn the winds out of the north, but it is too soon to know what other impacts Olaf will have. Updated: 10/20/2015 9:30 am HST
