Moderate, locally gusty trades will keep showers focused over windward and mauka areas during the next several days. The southern portions of the aloha state will see more shower activity as a weak surface trough passes just to the south. The trough will strengthen west of Kauai heading into the weekend. This will result in a return to southeasterly winds and an increased threat of unsettled weather over the western islands. Updated: 11/18/2015 3:40 am HST
