HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES

Surf along north facing shores will rise to heights of 18 to 22 feet Monday.
Surf along west facing shores will build to heights of 12 to 18 feet Monday.
Surf along east facing shores will increase to heights of 5 to 7 feet Monday.
Surf along south facing shores will remain 1 to 3 feet through Monday.
Outlook through Saturday Nov 20: the current west northwest swell will gradually lower Monday night and Tuesday. A new, smaller, west northwest swell is expected to begin filling in Tuesday night, peak late Wednesday and Wednesday night, then slowly lower through Friday. The easterly trade wind swells will gradually lower through the week.

Surf along north facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet today through tonight, then gradually rise to 10 to 15 feet by late Sunday afternoon.
Surf along west facing shores will be 1 to 2 feet today through tonight, then gradually rise to 8 to 12 feet by late Sunday afternoon.
Surf along east facing shores will remain 3 to 5 feet today, then rise to 4 to 6 feet on Sunday.
Surf along south facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet today through Sunday.
Outlook through Friday Nov 19: the new large west northwest swell, will peak Sunday night and early Monday, then gradually lower through Tuesday. Another, but slightly smaller, west northwest swell, will begin to fill in Tuesday night, peak late Wednesday and Wednesday night, then gradually lower through Friday. Easterly trade wind swell, will build Sunday into Monday, before gradually subsiding Tuesday through Friday. Small, mainly background swells from the south, will continue through the forecast period.

Surf along north facing shores will be 4 to 7 feet this morning then 2 to 4 feet by this evening through Saturday.
Surf along west facing shores will remain at 2 to 4 feet through Saturday.
Surf along east facing shores will increase to heights of 3 to 5 feet today and continue through Saturday.
Surf along south facing shores will remain at 1 to 3 feet through Saturday.
Outlook through Thursday Nov 18: a new west northwest swell building Sunday afternoon will produce advisory level surf along north and west facing shores through Monday night. The surf may just reach warning levels briefly late Sunday night. Another west northwest swell is expected to produce advisory level surf again Wednesday into Thursday.
Surf heights are forecast heights of the face or front of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, in the zone of maximum refraction. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.

Outlook through Tuesday Nov 16: current northwest swell will linger through Friday. A new northwest swell arriving Sunday will produce surf well above the advisory level along north and west facing shores through Monday.

Outlook through Monday Nov 15: a moderate northwest swell will continue through Friday. A new northwest swell arriving Sunday will produce surf well above the advisory level along north and west facing shores through Monday.

A moderate northwest swell will build Sunday night, peak Monday, then gradually decline through Wednesday, with another, similar sized north northwest swell due on Thursday. A small south swell will persist through Monday.
