Trade winds will gradually decrease later today and tonight as a front approaches the area from the northwest. Moisture associated with the front along with strengthening trade winds early in the week will cause an increase in shower activity especially over windward and mauka areas. Drier weather and lighter trade winds are expected during the second half of the week.

A series of weak fronts passing north of the islands throughout the week will result in the disruption of trade winds across the area at times, with brief periods of land and sea breezes. A strong cold front will bring unsettled weather to the area by the weekend, and the coolest airmass of the year will overspread the islands in its wake.
